Life as a Stylist: Marc Jacobs Photo Shoot

I had the pleasure of working with friend and top photographer, Yachin Parham, on this amazing shoot. The concept was dark artistic nudity showcasing accessories, and I was the stylist!  This was my first photography gig as a stylist, but I've styled fashion shows and short film for years now. I'm super excited about the opportunities opening up for me here, and I LOVE the way the shots turned out. Here are a few of the shots, enjoy!

Vintage Fashion Finds for the Classroom

If you don't know- I'm in grad school studying advertising as a copywriter. We've been having class with Vanderbilt University for the past week or so, and we had the task of creating a Jimmy Fallon-esque "Ready, Set Flow" Rap for class. If you're not familiar, the concept is you are given three words- a person, place and thing, and you have 30 seconds to freestyle and the words must be included in your rap. ILL!

Our three words were: Rob Isherwood, Nash Vegas, Bumblebee Tuna (LOL)

I had a super fun time doing this assignment, and the best part other than actually writing the rap was figuring out what to wear and how I wanted to look! I went with a classic 80's baby look, all in which I had in my closet already. First, I threw on a black cami, (cami's are SO staple) then a really funky cotton print top that was thrifted in Chicago and cut up. I paired that with my neon pink and black Alexander McQueen zipper leggings, X-disc earrings from Ashley Stewart, Rope Chain from NYC's Chinatown and vintage Cazal's, also thrifted. For my hair, I chose a super 80's high ponytail with a black headband.
After I presented the video in class, everyone wanted to know where that "wall" was that I filmed in front of. It was a piece of fabric that I got from my ABSOLUTE FAV fabric store in Atlanta for literally 2 or 3 bucks. Man, I love a deal! Finally, here's the video. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it!

OUTFIT OF THE DAY: Bold Prints and Colors

Nothing says spring like bold prints and zesty colors. I was headed out shopping, and I decided to pair this amazing romper from H&M with my favorite mustard blazer that I thrifted. I threw on my go-to jewelery, a messy bun, and whala! instant chic cuteness.

I Heart Nudes and Blushes

Spring is around the corner, and although I'm in forever sunny Miami, I cannot wait to break away from my winter-esque wardrobe into some new spring hues! This spring is ALL about cool coral, chunky prints like snakeskin, and vibrant color combos.
Cami: Agaci, Skirt: ON, Shoes:DSW, Necklace: F21

While I have been excited about the season change, nothing comes without a transition--so as of late I have been wearing a TON of really feminine blush and nude colored clothing. It's soft, feminine, yet subtitle enough to make sense in February while in Miami. I took a really simple staple, my absolute FAV  camisole, and made three different looks that I LOOOOOVVVVVVE. Check out my fits. :)
Jacket: Macy's, Clutch: Thrifted, Shoes: Vince Camuto

Zury YesOne Remy Fiber Hair Review

I was home in Atlanta last week, and I cannot be home without visiting all of the mega-store beauty supplies. While there, I saw the Zury YesOne hair for really cheap and decided to try it out.. I love it!
